The Dawoodi Bohra community in Melbourne marked the occasion of ‘Australia Day’ by holding a flag hoisting ceremony at Heidelberg (Victoria) on 26th of January 2022.

Children of all ages participated in reciting the national anthem with great enthusiasm. Neighbors and friends also partook in the ceremony.

The 26th of January is an important day in Australia’s history and its significance has evolved over time, starting as a celebration for emancipated individuals and transitioning into what is now a celebration of Australian diversity.
